Gem Dip

Designer Shee Fun Chan (www.sheefun.com) working for Fashion designer Ann-Sofie Back asked to have the aesthetics of a gemstone replicated in resin. The idea was to make the replica gemstone look as if it were melting into a drip. Prototypes were made and colours were tested. The desired results were achieved by combining the materials glass and resin using processes I specifically designed for the production of these jewels. The deadlines were tight and the boundaries of the materials I work in were pushed. I think the end result looked great though.
